When I go out to travel and freeze the moment in my camera, it is all for me. It’s mine. All mine. The exhilaration I feel when I see a wonderful opportunity to capture a photo and the excitement I feel when I get to see and experience a new place – these are all MINE. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to share what’s mine. It is exactly the reason why I started this blog – to share my travel experience through photographs that tell a LOT of stories. I do hope you guys are enjoying my posts and maybe also encourage you all to travel and see the world. 🙂

Weekly Photo Challenge: Solitary
Solitary. A state of being alone. Alone. Alone but not lonely. Traveling solo is not lonely. It gives you the freedom to change your itinerary anytime you want. It gives you time to reflect about your life and the decisions you made or about to make. This photo is the perfect picture of traveling solo. This was taken while on a boat to Calaguas Island. It was an early morning ride and the waves rock the boat gently as we traveled. I saw this boat at a distance and I had to use a zoom lens in order to capture the moment it crosses the sun’s reflection on the water.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Everyday Life
This was taken on the trail to Osmeña Peak in Cebu. It is home to several vegetable farms which one can pass by when trekking from Osmeña Peak to Badian proper. The view is impressive and people are living the simple life – no electricity, no motorbikes or cars can pass through the trail. The only option is to walk. When they need to transport things, they put it in a basket which they carry on their head. This is what they do everyday.
Photo of the Day – Life’s a Beach
Photo of the Day – Tia Shines
This photo was taken on one of the beaches scattered around Coron. The boat was supposed to stop for just an hour but we decided to stay and wait for the sunset. While waiting for the sunset, my friend Tia was standing in front of me and she appears to glow from the sun’s rays. This is the photo I took of her. This photo reminds me of angels that come into our lives. They glow and just shine their personality on us that they leave such an impression. Thank you to all the angels that crossed my path. I am truly blessed to meet such wonderful people.
Photo of the Day – Coron or Halong Bay?
This photo is a bit tricky because it will remind you of two places in Asia – Coron in the Philippines or Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. Both places have limestone cliffs scattered all over and some of the islands have hidden jewels – beach! This is Coron in the Philippines. Aside from the magnificent view, one can also enjoy an abundant marine life. You can see different colors of fishes and if you feed them, they come so close they can kiss you!
Photo of the Day – Coron, Palawan
This photo was taken on one of the islands in Coron, Palawan. I was on an island hopping tour and this is one of the stops. We were lucky because our boat was the first one to get to the island and we were able to enjoy peace and solitude for about 30 minutes. Then, other tourists began to arrive and frolic on the beach. I was lucky to get this picture of a guy walking on the beach alone. This photo shows what I feel when I travel – I am alone but I am not sad. I am one with nature. One with the world.
