Weekly Photo Challenge: Contrast

WC_DSC0516

For this week’s Photo Challenge, I have chosen this photo I took whilst traveling Laos. It is the perfect photo not only because of the contrast of light and dark but also what I was feeling. It was really hot and humid when I took the trip and the coolness of the shade was very refreshing. And when I look at this photo, all I can think of is – Keep Calm and Travel On.

Photo of the Day: Patan Daily Life

While exploring the durbar square, these two gentlemen caught my attention. They were sitting down next to the lion guarding the museum. They sat there for a long time, chatting and people watching. When I grow old, I wish I could hang out in a place as cool as this and watch the world go by.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Escape

Samui

It’s been awhile since I posted on my website. Let’s just say, I was busy living my life, trying to get a hand of it and living in the real world. 😉 Now, I am back in the blogging world and ready to share my travel adventures. It’s a tad late but I like this challenge.

Living in the real world can turn you into a robot. You live by routines/schedules to a point that it gets monotonous. The solution? Escape. Escaping from reality can be as simple as doing a staycation and staying IN bed the whole weekend or it could mean doing something fun. My idea of escape is going to the beach to chill out and zone out. The photo above is from a recent escape to Chaweng Beach in Koh Samui. It is the famous beach in Koh Samui but I was able to find a peaceful spot to just lie down and enjoy the sun.

What’s your escape?

Photo of the Day – Love Day

Lake Sebu Feet

Today is Valentine’s Day and people all over the world are celebrating this special day with flowers, chocolates and greeting cards. I’m lucky to get loads of hugs and loving from kids where I work at. Love is not just for boyfriends and girlfriends. The photo above is a picture of buddies who love to travel and explore the world. Love is for everybody who appreciate the people in their lives for all the things and sacrifices they do because they care. Don’t forget to tell your family and friends how much you love them. Happy V Day!

Photo of the Day – The Bridge

Ayutthayabridge

Bridges are built to provide passage by connecting two islands or land masses separated by a body of water or a valley. It also provides aesthetic beauty to a landscape design like in the photograph above. This photo was taken in one of the temple complex that’s spread around Ayutthaya which is the ancient capital city of Siam or better known today as Thailand.
